Good Molly’s 🍎 Apple Pie Bars
These are delicious 😋 and your house will smell so good.
We made an easy shortbread crust - mixing:
1 stick of softened butter (you can use the dairy-free alternative of choice)
1 cup gluten free flour
2 tbsp ground flaxseed meal
Press into an 8” x 8” sized glass dish
(we lined with parchment paper),
and bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
Wash, peel, and dice the apples of choice (we used Honey Crisp),
and toss with 1 tsp of ground cinnamon,
1 tbsp of dark brown sugar,
and one bag of Good Molly’s Apple Pie cut into smaller pieces.
Combine all with 3 tbsp melted butter of choice
and pour evenly across the shortbread crust.
Return to the oven for another 30 minutes or so,
until apples soften and the topping begins to brown.
You can also press the topping into the soft crust midway through baking.
Let fully cool and cut. .
